فندق إنتركونتيننتال الأردن يطلق كتاب الذكرى الخمسين في حفل ضخم INTERCONTINENTAL JORDAN LAUNCHES ITS 50TH ANNIVERSARY BOOK

تحت رعاية جلالة الملكة نور- ينوب عنها سمو الأميرة وجدان الهاشمي- أقام فندق إنتركونتيننتال الأردن حدثا مرموقا، و ذلك يوم الأربعاء الموافق 27 مايو، لإطلاق الكتاب الخاص بالذكرى الخمسين للفندق.

حضر هذا الحفل الضخمافراد من العائلة المالكة, رؤساء وزراء سابقين,عدة وزراء، سفراء عرب و أجانب، أصحاب سعادة، مسؤولون رسميون، اعضاء مجلس إدارة شركة الفنادق والسياحة الأردنية المالكة للفندق ، تنفيذيون، إعلاميون، ضيوف هامون جدا، بالإضافة إلى ضيوف مخلصين للفندق و المقيمين لفترات طويلة في الفندق الذين حافظوا على ولائهم لفندق إنتركونتيننتال الأردن على مر السنوات.

استهل الحفل من خلال كلمة مختصرة ألقاها السيد مايكل كوث، مدير إدارة العمليات لمجموعة فنادق الإنتركونتيننتال في بلاد الشام و مدير عام فندق إنتركونتيننتال الأردن، شكر فيها جميع الحضور، الضيوف، و الرعاة و المساهمين الذين جعلوا من نشر هذا الكتاب الذي يروي رحلة الفندق و قصة عمان، حقيقة واقعة. عقب ذلك، رحب السيد كوث بوزير السياحة السيد نايف الفايز الذي ألقى كلمة مؤثرة فحواها الإنجازات التي حققها فندق إنتركونتيننتال الأردن، الذكرى الخمسون للفندق، إضافة إلى التوقعات الإيجابية لمستقبل قطاع الضيافة و السياحة في الأردن. ختام الحدث تضمّن حفل كوكتيل فاخر، و توزيع نسخ من كتاب الذكرى الخمسين للضيوف.

تم إعداد كتاب الذكرى الخمسين بجهود الكاتبةباميلا دوريتي والمصممة ايزابيل روبين بدعم من قبل فريق إنتركونتيننتال الأردن، و هو يروي رحلة الفندق منذ افتتاحه عام 1963. يحوي الكتاب أيضا كلمات من افراد من العائلة المالكة , رؤساء وزراء ووزراء سابقين و حاليين، مسؤولين كبار في العديد من المشاريع و الصناعات، بالإضافة إلى الضيوف المخلصين الذين يعدّون فندق إنتركونتيننتال الأردن بيتهم الثاني. و قد تم تجميع العديد من الصور التي جعلت من الكتاب مذكرات تصويرية للطريق نحو النجاح الذي سلكه فندق إنتركونتيننتال الأردن و إنجازاته.

LAUNCHES ITS 50^TH ANNIVERSARY BOOK IN AN EXTRAVAGANT EVENT

Under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Noor- deputized by HRH Princess Wejdan Al Hashimi-InterContinental Jordan held a prestigious event on Wednesday May 27^th to launch a special-edition book to mark the hotel’s 50^th anniversary.

The extravagant event was attended by members of the Royal family, Ex-Prime Minister, Ministers, Ambassadors, Excellencies, many senior officials, dignitaries, executives, the board members of the hotel’s owning company Jordan Hotels & Tourism, media representatives, very important guests, as well as loyal and long-staying guests who have remained devoted to InterContinental Jordan throughout the years.

The event commenced with a brief speech by Mr. Michael Koth, IHG Director of Operations Levant and General Manager of InterContinental Jordan, in which he thanked all attendees, guests, and sponsors and contributors who have made issuing this book that narrates the journey of the hotel and the story of Amman, a reality. Then, Mr. Koth introduced the Minister of Tourism Mr. Nayef Al Fayez, who delivered a moving and compelling speech that talks about the significant achievements of InterContinental Jordan, the 50 year milestone, as well as the positive outlook towards the future of hospitality and tourism in Jordan. The event ended with a lavish cocktail reception, in addition to giving away copies of the 50^th anniversary book to guests.

The 50^th anniversary book was prepared by the author Pamela Dougherty, the designer Isabelle Ruben & with the support of InterContinental Jordan Team, and it narrates the journey of the hotel ever since its opening in 1963. The book also includes notes from members of the Royal family, many former and current Prime Minister & Ministers, moguls in various businesses and industries, as well as loyal guests who considered InterContinental Jordan to be their second home. And many photos have been gathered and collected that made the book a visual diary of InterContinental Jordan’s path of success, achievements and accomplishments
