Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Dubai & Middle East office has announced its intent to host road-shows in Jordan and Egypt. The objective of the road-shows is to promote Thailand as a value-for-money, family-friendly destination for honeymooners, couples and families. The events will also showcase new destinations such as Krabi and Koh Samui.

The first event will take place on 24 November 2014 at InterContinental Hotel in Amman and the second event is on 26 November 2014 at Semiramis InterContinental Hotel in Cairo.

The delegation includes Juthaporn Rerngronasa, deputy governor for international marketing (Europe, Africa, Middle East & Americas) and Chalermsak Suranant, director for TAT Dubai & Middle East Office.

Chalermsak Suranant, director for TAT Dubai & Middle East Office said: “The road show is an important event that helps build new relationships and strengthen our ties with our local partners. The timings are also right for us to provide an update regarding current political situation and to reassure safety of all the visitors travelling to Thailand.”

The road-show is also being seen as a key strategic move after the focus of International tourism shifted to the Middle East Region. TAT is expected to welcome about 13,000 visitors from Jordan and 28,000 from Egypt this year.
