Taleb Rifai re-elected UNWTO secretary-general
Jordanian international given second term after recommendation by executive council
The head of the United Nations World Tourism Organization, Jordanian national Taleb Rifai, has been re-elected for a second term as secretary-general of the body.
The announcement was formerly declared at yesterday’s (29 August) 20th Session of the General Assembly in Livingstone, Victoria Falls.
Rifai’s re-election comes after the UNWTO’s executive council recommended him as a nominee for a second term, which will run through to 2014-17.
