عالم السياحة- الخبر عربي-انجليزي: يشهد فصل الصيف لهذا العام بدء طيران الخليج – الناقلة الوطنية لمملكة البحرين – في تسيير رحلاتها إلى وجهاتها الجديدة المضافة إلى شبكتها.
إلى جانب ذلك؛ ستطلق الناقلة جدولتها الصيفية للعام 2018 مع رحلات أكثر وقدرة استيعابية أكبر من وإلى عدد من وجهات الناقلة الرائجة خلال موسم ذروة السفر الصيفية الواقعة بين منتصف شهر يونيو ومنتصف شهر سبتمبر من العام الجاري. وتأتي الجدولة الصيفية الجديدة تلبية للطلب المتزايد من قبل مسافري الناقلة.
رحلات الناقلة إلى العاصمة الأردنية عمّان ستزداد إلى 3 رحلات يومية، فيما ستزداد رحلاتها إلى العاصمة اللبنانية بيروت إلى رحلتين مزدوجتين يومياً. أما إسطنبول في تركيا فستسيّر الناقلة رحلاتها إليها من خلال 12 رحلة أسبوعية، في الحين الذي ستسيّر الناقلة فيه 7 رحلات أسبوعية إلى العاصمة اليونانية أثينا. كما ارتفع عدد الرحلات إلى لارنكا بقبرص إلى رحلات يومية دائمة، وهو الأمر الذي ستطبقه الناقلة في بغداد أيضاً برفعها لعدد رحلاتها إلى العاصمة العراقية إلى 5 رحلات أسبوعية بصورة دائمة.
بالإضافة إلى ذلك، قامت الناقلة برفع عدد رحلاتها إلى ملتان بباكستان لتصبح 5 رحلات أسبوعية، كما قامت طيران الخليج بزيادة عدد رحلاتها إلى كل من القاهرة والخرطوم وأديس أبابا. وستستخدم طائرة طيران الخليج الجديدة من طراز بوينغ 9-787 دريملاينر التي ستنضم إلى أسطول الناقلة قريباً في تسيير رحلات طيران الخليج اليومية المزدوجة إلى مطار لندن هيثرو بدءاً من 15 يونيو 2018؛ حيث ستؤمّن هذه الطائرة استيعاباً أكبر للركاب مع أحدث المنتجات والخدمات المتاحة على متن الطائرة. إلى جانب ذلك ، ستقوم شركة طيران الخليج بزيادة رحلاتها خلال فترة الذروة في الصيف بـ 200 رحلة أسبوعية مقارنة بالعام 2017.
أما على الصعيد الإقليمي، فتشمل التوسعة الجديدة لشبكة وجهات الناقلة تسيير 5 رحلات أسبوعية إلى أبها وتبوك في المملكة العربية السعودية بدءاً من 15 يونيو، وتسيير 3 رحلات أسبوعية إلى الإسكندرية بمصر بدءاً من 10 يونيو، ورحلتان أسبوعيتان إلى شرم الشيخ بمصر بدءاً من 16 يونيو. وفي الهند، ستتسع شبكة وجهات الناقلة لتشمل رحلات يومية الى بنغالور بدءاً من 1 مايو، و7 رحلات أسبوعية إلى كالكت بدءاً من 15 يونيو. كما ستسيّر طيران الخليج رحلاتها إلى الدار البيضاء بالمغرب من خلال 5 رحلات أسبوعية بدءاً من 11 يونيو، وإلى باكو بأذربيجان بـ 5 رحلات أسبوعية بدءاً من 12 يونيو.
في معرض تعليقه على الجدولة الصيفية لهذا العام، قال الرئيس التنفيذي لطيران الخليج السيد كريشيمير كوتشكو “زيادة عدد الرحلات في شبكة وجهاتنا سيؤدي الى ربط مسافرينا بشكلٍ أفضل بالأماكن والأشخاص اللذين يهمونهم؛ وستشهد جدولتنا الصيفية للعام 2018 زيادة الرحلات إلى العديد من وجهاتنا الرائجة خلال فترة ذروة السفر الصيفية ما بين منتصف يونيو ومنتصف سبتمبر 2018. إن زيادة عدد الرحلات وزيادة القدرة الاستيعابية على رحلات الناقلة التي ستطبقها طيران الخليج في الأشهر القادمة تأتي استجابة للطلب المتزايد على هذه الوجهات الرئيسية. تؤمّن الجدولة الصيفية لطيران الخليج خيارات أكبر للرحلات الجوية وقدرة أكبر على حمل المزيد من الركاب خلال فترة العطلة الصيفية
المزدحمة. وسيسهم ذلك أيضًا في تعزيز الروابط التجارية والسياحية الاستراتيجية لمملكة البحرين وتسهيل الربط المعزز للمسافرين عبر شبكة طيران الخليج من وإلى البحرين”.
ستسيّر طيران الخليج في العام 2018 رحلاتها إلى 49 مدينة في 26 دولة. وسيشهد الأسطول الجديد للناقلة والمكون من 39 طائرة بوينغ وإيرباص انضمام 5 طائرات بوينغ من طراز 9-787 دريملاينر وطائرتي إيرباص من طراز A320neo مع نهاية العام الحالي. وكان سباق الـFORMULA 1 – جائزة البحرين الكبرى لطيران الخليج 2018 قد شهد لحظة تاريخية الشهر الماضي، تجسدت في تحليق أولى طائرات طيران الخليج من طراز بوينغ 787-9 دريملاينر الجديدة كلياً فوق موقع السباق، مزينة بالهوية الجديدة للناقلة الوطنية.

New schedule aims to meet growing summer demand
Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain 6 May 2018: This summer sees Gulf Air, the Kingdom of Bahrain’s national carrier, commence its highly anticipated major network expansion. Alongside this, the airline will roll out its 2018 Summer Schedule, increasing capacity and flights to and from several popular destinations during the upcoming peak travel period between mid-June and mid-September 2018, catering to growing passenger numbers.
Gulf Air flights to the Jordanian capital city of Amman will increase to triple daily, while flights to the Lebanese capital city of Beirut will increase to double daily. The popular summer destination of Istanbul in Turkey will be served with 12 weekly flights during the peak summer period while Athens, Greece will be served by seven weekly Gulf Air flights. Gulf Air flights to Larnaca, Cyprus have permanently increased to a daily service and Baghdad in Iraq has also permanently increased to a five weekly service.
Additionally, the airline’s flights to Multan in Pakistan have already increased to five weekly while Gulf Air has increased capacity on its Cairo, Khartoum and Addis Ababa routes. Gulf Air’s first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner will serve the airline’s double daily London Heathrow service, with increased capacity and enhanced, superior on-board products and services, from 15th June 2018. Alongside this, Gulf Air will increase its flights during the peak summer period by 200 more weekly flights compared to 2017.
Regionally, the airline’s upcoming network expansion will see it launch five weekly flights to Abha and Tabuk in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 15th June, 3 weekly flights to Alexandria, Egypt from 10th June and 2 weekly flights to Sharm El Shaikh, Egypt from 16th June. In India, Gulf Air will expand to include daily flights to Bangalore from 1st May and seven flights weekly to Calicut from 15th June. Alongside this, the airline will offer five flights weekly to Casablanca in Morocco from 11th June and five weekly flights to Baku in Azerbaijan from 12th June.
Gulf Air Chief Executive Officer Mr. Krešimir Kučko commented, “Not only will our upcoming network additions better connect our valued passengers to the places and people that matter the most, our Summer 2018 Schedule will see us increase flights to several popular destinations during the peak summer travel period between mid-June and mid-September 2018. The frequency and capacity increases that Gulf Air will implement in the coming months are in response to the demand on these key routes. Gulf Air’s summer schedule provides greater choice of flights and greater capacity to carry more passengers during the busy summer holiday period. This will also serve to strengthen the Kingdom of Bahrain’s strategic business and
tourism links and facilitate enhanced connectivity for passengers travelling across the Gulf Air network, to and from Bahrain.”
In 2018, Gulf Air’s network will serve 49 cities in 26 countries. Gulf Air’s highly anticipated incoming fleet of 39 new Boeing and Airbus aircraft will see, in 2018, the arrival of five Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners and two Airbus A320neo aircraft. Last month’s 2018 FORMULA 1 GULF AIR BAHRAIN GRAND PRIX had a standout, globally broadcast, moment as Gulf Air’s first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner fly pass showcased not only Gulf Air’s newest, state-of-the-art aircraft but also the new Gulf Air livery.
