Four pillars of success have been identified.

The ministry hosted “Planning for Growth – Egypt’s Tourism 2016”, a conference for more than 200 tourism sector representatives.

Attendees from 25 countries including senior figures from airlines, hotel groups, tour operators, holiday companies and governments heard His Excellency Hisham Zaazou, Minister of Tourism, announce the “Cairo Tourism Declaration”.

Its four pillars include security, strengthening cultural tourism, enhancing resorts and telling Egypt’s story to the world.

UK Ambassador to Egypt John Casson welcomed the “great initiative by the Ministry of Tourism because we have a strong mutual interest in increasing the number of tourists in Egypt”.

“British people love Egypt, and love visiting Egypt for their holidays. Indeed, many British people are here in Egypt even today – in Hurghada, Luxor, Marsa Alam, Cairo, Alexandria.

“There remains great interest in Egypt and in Britain in the work to restart flights to Sharm El Sheikh.  I know how important this is to Egypt’s tourist industry and indeed the whole economy. The world can’t leave Egypt to deal with these problems alone – to beat terrorism we have to keep Egypt’s economy strong.”

استضافت وزارة “التخطيط للنمو – السياحة في مصر 2016″، مؤتمر لأكثر من 200 من ممثلي القطاع السياحي.

سمع الحاضرين من 25 دولة بما في ذلك شخصيات بارزة من شركات الطيران ومجموعات الفنادق وشركات السياحة والشركات عطلة والحكومات سعادة هشام زعزوع، وزير السياحة، أعلن “إعلان القاهرة السياحة”.
